There are no restrictions to my knowledge on Goliaths. I believe that is mostly because there are very few of them there. Juvenile Goliaths live in the brackish water here in Florida. There is not an abundance of rivers and or brackish backwater in the Bahamas. So I believe that they have a hard time spawning and growing up over there. It’s not their environment. Kinda like why you dont see snook or redfish over there. Any other thoughts by anyone?

And if you do find one to hit with a pole spear.... good luck

I've seen some jumbos in the exumas about 20 yrs ago on shallow reefs.
