Snook are still roaming the beaches! Landed 4 today and my brother landed 2 and 1 big jack. (all released)
arrived at the beach at 1:00 pm, with an outgoing tide. spent 15 minutes looking for bait and was finally able to fill up the bucket with pilchard (sabikied from shore).
pitched the live pilchard out as far as we could (read: not very far) and let them run with the current. water clarity was poor. Lots of floating grass and debris. The bite was hottest around the changing tide, but with a decent bite every half and hour all day.
Don't let the hurricane scare you, the bite is still on
