I hope some of you guys aren't so bitter around your wife and kids, and are just talking forum bs!!
Why would I be bitter around my family that I love and friends that I care about? What I don't get is a grown man getting emotional about someone they have never met and never will. She wouldn't have pizsed on you if your guts were on fire yet you still mourn for her? I will save my emotional investment for my family and friends. Hell I bawled like a baby when my dog died - Princess Di or Mikey Jackson? Not so much.
She was a drunk divorced floozie
Goin' a hundred and twenty miles per hour
With her A-rab-play-boy-toy
Down by the Eiffel Tower
The driver just drank eight bottles of wine
Ain't seen her kids in a long, long time
She's just a jet set party girl
Gone to meet her maker
That nobility crap
Don't stop the undertaker
Car catapulted into a concrete cave
She fell in with a bad crowd
Now she's in her grave
It was a pitiful public display
of unwarranted grief
A sure sign that
our emptiness is complete
No matter what you say
it wasn't no tragedy
And son you can't blame
the paparazzi
She won the female lottery
And she lived the fairy tale
Married big ears
But as princess she failed
She birthed him two heirs
to the throne
But she couldn't keep the
royal member happy at home
She was a drunk divorced floozie
Gallivanting in France
She died in the backseat
Unzippin' Dodis pants
A buncha non-working rich pigs
So camera shy
They got drunk, drove fast & proceeded to die
She was a drunk dee-vorced flooz-ee
I miss the PWT poems of life struggles back in the day. Hope that boy is fine!
Working in Nassua for two weeks installing a product recovery system at the Texaco fuel farm. My boss wanted to argue that since we weren't in the US the Labor Day holiday didn't apply to us, yeah right! Little did he know Texaco paid for my GF at the time to fly in & stay the weekend in the condo we had on Cable Beach. We were at the big dance club partying it up when the DJ announced it! She was very admired by the Bahamians. I miss traveling on Texaco's dime,,, Guatemala, Honduras, St Thomas, Kits, Croix, Grand Cayman, PR & about 15 US states.
Yes I do remember exactly where I was! That is because my wife had a hissy fit and was freaking out and crying. I have my emotional moments, but that wasn't one of them to be honest.

I think the reason why a lot of women got upset was because they saw her as an abused woman who had escaped and was starting to live the life she deserved. Then it ended tragically.
This is the stuff of romantic novels. Only this had a sad ending, and many many women around the world had aligned with that cause - and a little bit of them died with her.
Maybe if we tell people that the brain is an App, they will start using it.

Blah, blah, blah. :huh You are on a forum of American men, for the most part, and you expect us to remember what we were doing when she was murdered? Really?:huh WAKE UP!

I don't think the British women saw her that way. But they had more insight to her life living in the UK than the rest of the women around the world. She was no saint.
I remember going to my buddies house and his girlfriend was crying because she was dead. I laughed at her.
Why would you do that?
Anyway, my wife and I were at our annual Labor Day weekend at Table Rock Lake, AK. Back then about 15 of us, all college friends, would get together for a drinking, eating, boating, golfing weekend. It was always a really fun time. We were all there when we heard the news. Most of the women were glued to the TV. The guys would glance at it every once in awhile with little interest while we continued to carry on drinking, eating and talking like we would be doing if it wasn't happening.
These days we sometimes talk about doing it again. I doubt it will happen though. It's been about 10 years since we did a labor day weekend as a group. I do miss it.

He and Vanilla Ice are truly national treasures.
She's in her 80's, what do expect?!?!?
Princess Di's death isn't one of them. If it hadn't been brought up, I wouldn't have had a clue that it was 15 years, or even this month. Sorry.
Yes she was.
