This is how it is in the entire sports world, except for the SEC, SEC, SEC crowd.

If one of those 12 - 1 records is FSU, they are shut out of the NC if the ACC is poor. That is why other teams in your conference are important.
What good is winning your conference championship if the other teams all inhale? Why even belong to a conference?

UF was nothing before spurrier and had a run during the 90s. They were good for 3 years last decade. UF has won 3 titles over the span of over 100 years.

Most other conferences aren't even in the running for a possible NC, so rooting for one of their conference mates to win it all isnt even thought about.

IF any of the higher ranked SEC teams go undefeated.....FSU will be behind them.
If USC, Oregon, OK, Mich and possibly Wisc go undefeated...you are out. You do not hold your destiny in your hand due to your pathetic schedule via the ACC and the OOC schedule.

UF has the rivalries through the SEC that you cant touch....it is over your head.
UF was nothing before spurrier.....right.....back in the early 1960s when spurrier won the Heisman.
fsu was nothing before bowden.....and was only something as a result of benefiting from UF going on probation.

This is true. Don't forget that trailblazer of a tradition when they do the Jaws music. Oh, the lore! Even my sensible UF friends admit that Chief Osceola and Renegade are a very cool tradition.
I think it was cute how they rolled a poorly dressed drunk dude (God bless his soul) out to sing a song that was invented on the schoolyard back in the 1900s. But hey, hold on to what you have, because it's tradition. Even other SEC schools laugh at Florida in that regard....and many others.
