Bait report PB inlet 8/30

Passing on that there has been LOTS of bait around the Peanut Island area. Mostly on the NORTH, EAST, and SOUTH side of the island itself. Healthy looking sardines and greenies all sorts of sizes. The commercial guys have been loading their boats to the brim today and yesterday with tons more to spare. Best times have been when the sun is up and throughout the day. Mullet have been in HUGE schools but are hard to see cause the water is BLACK. Once the big jacks are around you will see the water explode and know where the mullet are. Theres no need to get try and rush the bait cause its been sticking around from dusk till dawn.
~Just a reminder that FWC/Sheriff/USCG will be out in full force this weekend so please be responsible and be prepared to get boarded and checked, they have already started. Be smart and have a designated driver so we all can enjoy the weekend out on the water.

Right now the bait is the same as yeaterday. More mullet have moved in and are taking positions in the turning basin of the port of palm beach and around the docks inside the PBI. The jacks and tarpon are making a fantastic show right now crushing the mullet schools!

As of this morning it was only Pilchards, though there were some mullet mixed in. Jacks, Snook, and Tarpon all over the bait.

I just filled a 5 gal bucket in 2 casts. Mullet have been hanging around the sandbar most of today.
