Kids Say The Darndest Things

4 year old grandson told our daughter today:

"Mom sell your house I want to go HOME to Florida."

"I love fishing Mom. I want to go fishing every day Mom."

The better half had him at a carnival Friday night. All he wanted to do was play the fishing games. No rides no other games just the "fishing ones".

They had him at a little lake Saturday/Sunday in Michigan. It is a managed lake. 9am to 6pm boating, sking, water sport vehicles. At 6pm a siren sounds and those persons must get off the lake and turn it over to the fishermen. He couldn't wait to wet a line! As soon as he could he started tossing the only bait they had - rubber worms. First cast a largemouth. A little later another. I hope he's "hooked" on fishing for life. Fishing and the love of it and the outdoors is the best way I know of keeping young people off the streets and out of trouble.

I feel like the luckiest "Grandpa" in the world right now.

I didn't say it was your fault, I said I was blaming you

congrats IL,he is hooked for life now.Now he is learning a sport that when there is free time,he will find some water and go fishing, not get into other trouble. And also spend lots of money, annoy future wife and some family, cause he would rather enjoy outdoors.Welcome to the frat littleman.
