OK, I'm going to cheat a bit here. This is a photo I took with my 35mm Minolta X37 while living in the San Fancisco area. It is looking over the Sierra Nevada Wilderness from Yosemite's Lookout Point. I had it blown up to 30X20 and framed. It will take me forever to dig through my boxes for the original photo - so I just took a digital of this from the wall (therefore it has lost some detail). Still one of my most favorite shots.

There was a view that showed the back side of half dome I believe. Can't remember what it was called, but the road was closed both times I was there due to snow. Never did get to see it. Is this in the same area?

Might have ben, this is that road that takes you up to Tioga Pass, that takes you into Nevada.

Hickory Nut Falls, only one I remember the name of, it's right by Chimney Rock

Transylvania County in NC has 250 waterfalls, in one county, can u imagine, totally awesome place to go hiking

GrillG, you were in the Dupont State Forest area. This is the area where Daniel Day Lewis was in the movie "Last of the Mohicans" and some of the Hunger Games was filmed. I think the first one is High Falls, the second group is Triple Falls and the low long one is Hooker falls. Beautiful area.

U r correct Flash, we saw so many falls in the area I lost track

Yep, High, Triple, and Hooker falls. Beautiful area and we went to see those for the first time this summer. Just last week we watched the Hunger Games with the kids and it was cool recognizing some of the backgrounds.
