Got up this morning looked at the radar and went back to bed. didnt get on the water till about 10:30 went to a spot that i found last year that holds a bunch of redfish in the summer. this was my first time there this summer and the reds were there. i ended up catching 5 reds. 2 measured in at 26" and the others were around 23" and 24". i caught one on a yellow bucktail, three were caught on a popping cork with shrimp and picked one up on the fly rod. ended up with some ladyfish, snapper, and a small snook. did some exploring and was back to the ramp at 2:30

did you run that creek all the way back? Years ago it was killer for Snook!
Do you know where that is? I'll never tell. There is a lot of small snook back there but enough big ones to keep it interesting. Lot of juvi tarpon as well

Pretty sure I do. Last time I was there, had to stop and clear the boat of leaves and branches from running that creek all the way up. Needless to say it was a Snook nursery, no bigguns to be found.
And there is always a boat or two at the mouth when I go by.

Caught one on the channel edge and the rest were tight to the mangroves. It was the first couple hours of a falling high tide
God of all days
Glorious in all of Your ways
The majesty the wonder and grace
In the light of Your Name
Let hope rise and darkness tremble
In Your holy light
That every eye will see Jesus our God
Great and mighty to be praised
