that way the fish populations would get so low the scum of the ocean (commercial fishermen) would have to find jobs where they actually make something instead of steal it.
And with the commercial interests gone, laws could be passed prohibiting ANY commercial interests in Florida waters, and then the People could bring back the populations to levels that can be maintained at a level where the recreational anglers could have a high quality experience.
I know that the commercial interests would love to be allowed to pillage the ocean to their hearts' desires and the sooner we let them kill their goose laying golden eggs the better, Sure thwy talk some "sustainable harvest" crap, but when no one is looking they will show their true colors and destroy the commercial fishery to the point they will not be able to find enough fish to feed the chilluns...and I will even try to destroy the fishery right along with em..just to get them out of the public domain.
Then when they don' have the money to buy the politicians, nor the heart to keep going out catching nothing, Commercial **** of th eocean can become a thing of the past.... like plume hunters. And the public can take back perhaps Florida's most valuable natural resource, It's fisheries.
All the Hyperbole aside....this tactic is similar to the NMFS and engo's tactic. They push the most extreme idea's and
proposed rules, with the idea that a slightly lesser result will somehiw be seen as an acceptable compromise by their
opposition. Much like the token gesture of 9,000 recreational Red Snapper being offfered in the SA in what has been
touted as a 35 year rebuilding plan with no forseeable opening.
Maybe an extreme push for something outrageous should be pushed to be on the agenda, and then compromise with
something a little less and more reasonable. Only problem is that the nearly unlimited power of the NOAA / NMFS / DOC
trio has little checks and balances, and they have proven to do whatever they want with little reguard to what the
majority of the stakeholders feel or the fisheries need.
