A friend of mine works for the sea turtle patrol on the beaches around Titusville, riding up and down the beach on a 4-wheeler. Recently he found a speargun that was washed ashore with some barnicles on it, so of course he took it home and cleaned it up a little. Then the other night I came over to look at it, and noticed that there were some tooth marks in it from a seriously big shark. The bite marks look like the shark bit from around butt of the gun, all the way to about 10 inches up (around the front of the handle). It looks like the shark took one big chomp, and decided he didn't like it. But that one bite has teeth marks that are quite deep, and at least one of the bite holes still had the tip of one of the teeth still in it (the small white thing on my finger tip in the pic).
So basically I'm wondering if yall know of anyone that may have been recently bitten by a shark, or had an extremely close call and lost their speargun. I'm thinking it had to be at least a month ago because it had those barnacles that you might find on an old piece of floating debris. Either that or I hear tiger sharks will try to eat anything from license plates to anchors, so maybe someone lost the gun and a curious shark came by to give it a taste... What are yall's thoughts about it?
Sorry the pics aren't great..

Lay on the bottom with them but it just floats away.
Just a guess. Cool story. Ashame that team looks really damage those are super high dollar guns. Depending on the size and model (looks like a rear handle).
@ PADDLEHARDER- Yeah man, just let me know. Would be pretty insane if it was actually his!
