ya catching tons in depths 250-300 straight out... go out and fish cant be spoon fed all the time. only guys who fish all the time are commercial and charters and neither are going to tell you where the concentration of kings are.

250 is really best... in the keys on wrecks. Hey, I think plumbcrazy only wanted to know if there are any kings around the east central area. He didnt ask for your personal hot spots. Take it easy on the poor guy, he probably only wanted one for his smoker. With fuel prices and closed seasons of other species dont blame the guy for trying to get some recent info. However, catalina your point is valid in a way but your reply seemed a little harsh. I mean limit is only 2 fish anyway. There are enough for us all but the main thing is to respect space around other peoples boats. I cant tell you how many times I see other boats change course so they can troll right up my chum slick, around me in circles etc. even worse anchor up right next to me. If I wanted some stranger to see every fish I catch, know what kind , how big, and how I do it, I would just fish off a bridge!
not always so. There have been some on Pelican lately and the 8A area has seen a few. Last I heard there were not any big thick schools but hold on as the beaches should fire up soon.
What Copout said as soon as this toad strangler leaves our area give the water a couple of days to clean up and try the 45ft stuff off the church steeples, beach and buoy line areas that is where you will find the bigger fish if you want the snakes can't go wrong with 8a or Pelican.
