Mosquito Lagoon Topwater Redfish Action - Video

I was able to finally hit the water the other day and do some fishing myself. I was joined by my good friend and colleague Capt. Chris Myers. We were able to get onto some nice reds and some really good size trout as well throughout the entire lagoon itself. Finding several tailers in the morning hours and using the D.O.A. Shallow Runner Baitbuster's with several hookups then moving out onto the flats for sight fishing using CALS. Where we found bait and activity we found fish. He was able to get some cool video of one of the redfish hitting the Baitbuster I threw at... Enjoy

Awesome! Finding tailing fish that aren't 40" in the IRL has been tough the last 2 months. Glad to see they're happy in the lagoon.

Thanks to all for the compliments! Yes, it can be very difficult to get this. I cannot count how many times I wish I had the camera going/rolling when there is a hit like this. We were able to get a game plan when we saw these tails and actually had a perfect approach on our side. Good timing is what I say. It is cool to see the reds hitting the top-water unlike other fish. Now I want to look for more! LOL

Great video of the strike, gotta love those baitbusters, wish they lasted longer or were a bit more economical. They catch everything

No, I posted it last month but someone else just replied to this a few days ago, so no it's not a re-post, just a response from a member. You can see the original post date from me.
On a side note the reds are still hitting top water here. Find clean water and bait then you should be set.
