recommendation for fishing nsb

I'll be in NSB this weekend and was wondering should I try surf fishing or some of the public areas in the icw. I know nothing about surf fishing any tips or baits? btw i will be around the north causeway area. Probably only get to fish friday morning. Thanks for any info

I'm in the same situation as you are zracer, I'm in the process of moving from Pennsylvania and have a boat but not enough time with moving and all. I want to explore some bank fishing opportunities and when I have the boat moved I should have some idea of where to take it. Let us know how you make out, even if it is getting skunked, cause all the experiences count.

If you want to get away from everyone, drive down to the CNS park at the south end of NSB. Go to parking lot 5 and you can wade the lagoon side or fish from shore.
Bait or jigs work for seatrout and reds.

Canaveral National Seashore is the way to go, surf fishing on one side, mosquito lagoon fishing on the other.
