fishing tampa bay

I will be coming down to tampa with my boat and want to do some snapper, grouper, mackeral, basically whatever is biting fishing. Are there any wrecks or reefs near tierre verde. Any places and tips are appreciated. never fished tampa before.

There are some near shore (within 10 miles) public #'s you can find on any charts or there is probably a listing on the web of these reefs. You would get something to chew on your line. Within the bay, the ships channel can be very productive for grouper and snapper as well. Tarpon are going off right now too on the beaches, at the bridges, should be a crab flush this weekend. I don't do much inshore trout, snook, red fishing so can't guide you at all there. Good luck.
