The Journal "Blast Out!"

harbisonharbison Senior MemberPosts: 5,678 Admiral
The NJ based Big Game Fishing Journal, with the currant issue, continues to "Blast Out" against those who would steal part of America, our heritage, our fishing from us. This is a must read for all saltwater fishermen/women.
The likes of Lubchenco's NOAA, and her legacy to EDF & PEW, Shares/Separation, are in for one hell of a fight. We, the American people, have been pushed as far as we are going to be pushed. The sleeping giant has been aroused!

Subj: Time To Blast This Out

Fellow Patriots,
The Big Game Fishing Journal magazine, which includes the article "The Great Conspiracy Fact or Fiction?" is hitting all along the East Coast as of today. Time to send this article or the link to the PDF file on our website to everyone everywhere. We have already sent 250 magazines to Capital Hill along with a letter requesting a federal investigation into the undue influence of the EDF into our federal fishery management process with Lubchenco's blessings. 300 more going out next week.

    A very painful read.

Mister Captain Len Belarco could stand to learn page layout, organization, use of graphics text boxes, references and ad placement from Tides and Saltwater Sportsman if nothing else.

A little more "background" info on Monica Medina:

    February 19, 2010

Monica Medina, Commerce Department principal deputy under secretary for oceans and atmosphere, has been appointed the U.S. commissioner for the International Whaling Commission by President Barack Obama.

The U.S. commissioner serves as the head of the U.S. delegation to meetings of the IWC and leads negotiations on issues related to the commission. Medina will lead the delegation at the next IWC annual meeting in Agadir, Morocco in June.

Prior to joining the Obama Administration, Medina served as a senior officer in the Pew Environment Group, where she provided advice and ***istance on issues of marine law and policy. She previously was the deputy director of the U.S. Office of the International Fund for Animal Welfare. She also spent four years as a partner at Heller Ehrman White & McAuliffe, with a practice focused on environmental law, corporate law, and biotechnology matters.

From 1992 through 1999, Medina held a number of positions in the Clinton Administration and on Capitol Hill, including NOAA General Counsel from 1997 to 1999, where she represented the United States in several international negotiations, and argued significant cases before the U.S. Courts of Appeals. Before joining NOAA, Medina served as Deputy ***ociate Attorney General at the U.S. Department of Justice, with oversight of the environment division. Earlier, she was a senior counsel to the U.S. Senate Committee on Environment and Public Works.

The whole impetus behind the Catch Share movement is $$$$$$$$, whether those $$$$$$$$ are made by controlling the access and leasing the access back to us, or organizations/magazines taking $$$$$$$$ for supporting the concept.

It's noteworthy that pro-Catch Share supporters such as Hickman, Jennings, Jarvis, Cunningham, et al have to rely on the common theme of "conspiracy theories" to try to discredit people who are shining the light on this scam when they have nothing of substance to provide in support of the concept.

Good job Capt. Belcaro on DOCUMENTING the FACTS regarding this issue and not relying on enviro-funded feel-good propaganda to prove your point.

Thank you Captain Hilton. Together we are indeed shining the light on the big scam. Shares/separation is indeed all about $$$. Profits from selling us back OUR fish is predicted to be in the billions. Thanks to peoples like Captain Hilton, Captain Belcaro, and many others who are standing up for the sportsmen/women, not big $$$! Bob H.
