Per person? An old lady down in Big Pine told my buddies and me that our boat looked like a porcupine we had so many rods sticking out everywhere.

I generally bring 4 or 5. Depends what kind of fishing I'm doing.

If I am by myself 2 inshore setups and a bigger spinning setup to use as a pitch rod just in case I see a Cobia.

Usually 3 trolling rods. and a combo(5-6) of heavy and mid range spinng rods 2- 5 people on the boat. If I'm fishing inshore then 2 light spinning rods and one heavy.
