I watched it today and agree the guy is stupid, but what I really took away is that our court system is so screwed up that a hand gesture or facial expression by the audience can be turned into a possible mistrial. That is what is really stupid.

When the judge asked the idiot if there were any exculpatory reasons for why he should not be held in contempt of court, I was really hoping the idiot would say something along the lines of "My father and my brother abused me while I was growing up."

Hard to believe that is a real courtroom. Flip Wilson made a more impressive judge. That man could not be a bigger clown if he was wearing a fishing hat with a pole behind him. 1. So if the kid was essentially being spontaneously tried for a misdemeanor before a judge, why did he not have or request a lawyer/public defender?
2. Video cameras should not be allowed in a courtroom, other than for security. This media circus carp is shullbit, and taints the possibility of a fair, unbiased trial.
3. Can we fine the judge $400 for wasting taxpayers time? ...and can I get a $223 fee for the 12 minutes he wasted of my time?

That was my first thought especially when the Judge asked him where he worked and then asked about when he would be able to pay the fine and he said "immediately"
