Who's provoking? I am merely interested in meaningful dialogue. And I repeat my assertion that the ENGOs out-maneuvered us in 2006 and continue to do so because all I can see is vitriolic name calling and sabre-rattling from our recreational fishing representatives. Ignoring me and vilifying EDF won't solve any of our numerous problems.

Sounds like the new "strategic initiative" from EDF where they attempt to align themselves with private rec interests by investing in new angler data programs, supporting rig habitat, insert trolls on forums such as this posing as private rec anglers yet refuse to id themselves, etc. etc.

All of the above actions support EDF's catch share initiative ( you know, the initiative BEHIND the strategic initiative).
