SLI today 6/29/11

Went out with Reel C's today about 6 AM. Ran out to about 100 ft and dropped in a great spread of Hoo's. Caught 1 Bonito quickly and kept going to deeper water. Got out to around 550 ft and we were dodging storms that were every where and had some pretty rough seas. No more knockdowns to here and saw lighting so decided to troll back in but had to go around several storms. When we got to about 250 ft it calmed down a lot and we had a double Bonita and another single and the miss. Spent a lot of time and have to have Steak and Martini's again tonight, but think I will start eating Bonita but then we will probably quit catching them. Total today 4 for 5 Bonita
To top it off a guy we saw said he got a Dolphin and a Sail in 60 ft, go figure.:huh:huh:huh:mad::mad:
Still nice to be out there.

You are correct on the rain, it has pored at the house several times. Will try to get out on Friday hope weather is better. You got out and somthing to strech your line. Bone heads at least keep you awake. Thanks for thr report.

Just got up from my nap and was ready to post but Jerry B took good care of it. Enjoy the steak and martinis, Jerry. Me, I thawed out a piece of Maui from a previous trip. I do believe that pound for pound, Bonitas have one of the best 30 second runs in the ocean. What a nasty day. Next time!

Agree on the bonita - they smash a bait hard and rip line off the reel like a champ.
