wahoos outta jupiter 2/29

So i was a little skeptical of what the sea were going to be like this morning. Got to the dock around 620 and cleared the inlet around 645am. I was greeted t the nasty outgoing tide of the Jupiter inletr along with a stiff southeast wind. Forecast called for 2-3 ft with 5 sec...wrong lol. 3-5 ft was more accurate with some bigger ones mixed in. Any way i finally got out to the drop off around 730 with lines in at around 745. I had dolphin on my mind and with the gulfstream pushed so far in i figured i wouldnt have to go very far..blue water from 135 out with plenty of fliers. Trolled out to 400 with nothing jjust scattered weeds, turned around to go in shallower trying to be by the reef for the last of the outgoing..jut as i turned around and hit 200 ft the line starts screaming out and i knew right away what it was so i quickly picked up the rod and the fight was on..as i was fighting the man in the striped suit the shotgun lines start singing out so i put my rod down and get the shotgun line and make sure that one is on and then returne to the first one..got him next to the boat with the stripes all lit up..hand lined him the rest of the way gaffed him and put him in the boat, now i turn my attention to the other rod with a fish on it. I thought sure there would be nothing on this one, but he decided to stick around and fought him up to the boat to see another striped fish lit up..handlined him and gaffed him as well..(oh btw did i mention this was all solo)..Double header wahoos..back to the dock at 9..pictures will be posted shortly..time fore sum ice teas lol...little sporty out but ur never gunna catch em if ur not out there.both hoos were in the 20-25lb range

I think you are not giving yourself enough credit. A solo double header of wahoo and you land both fish is very IMPRESSIVE. Hats off to you!

ya clearing lines, keeping the boat straight, hand lining him to the side of the boat and gaffing was quite difficult let alone doing it twice lol..and no sadly is was not in our honeyhole remy
