POTUS Romney

Romney will most likely win the Nomination - he should pick Condoleezza Rice for his VP. Game over Obama.

Crazy as it seems, I'm liking Ron Paul more and more by the day...

I'm not sure this Country can handle 4 more years of the current Admin made up of poets and artist...we need some real Leadership!!! The Socialist slope is getting mighty slippery - DO NOT LIKE BUTTON!

I think I need to go fishing...:thumbsup

    Romney will be the nominee.

He is the only candidate that has steady numbers throughout the campaign.

I would like to see Marco Rubio as a VP with Romney.

Rubio would be a HIT! Rice would too, IMHO.

I'm actually, just @ a crossroads with the whole process...all of em seem to be talking out of both sides of their mouths, except Paul. May not agree with all his views, but at least he's consistent. Plus, I'm sick of being the World Police. Let's take care of the USA for a change - real CHANGE!

Regardless of who the Pub nominee is, it will be an easy decision on which lever to pull in November.

Romney has the full support of the media and the Republican ring leaders as well as a base of voters that range from 1/4th to 1/3 of the electorate. As soon as he's the nominee the media will turn on him like a pit bull. They did it to McCain. Romney's been campaigning for 6 years and still can't get much of the voter's support. Newt and Santorum basically killed each others chances by splitting the vote. Romney is kind of like the only black girl facing 3 or 4 white girls who will split the vote in the beauty contest.
Once again I'll hold my nose and vote for the repub over Obama in Nov.

BTW, what happened to the tea party? I guess the media finally figured out the best way to minimize their impact was to stop covering them.

I for one can't take you seriously if you aren't willing to spell out what's wrong with these candidates or present the candidate you support. Ring and run must have been your favorite prank as a child.

Studies show people with Maverick boats who childishly explode on a MB in political thread usually have a small weenie w/ latent homosexual tendencies. Thank goodness i don't have a Maverick boat:grin

IMO, Rubio is the 2nd quickest route to losing independent voters. Santorum getting the bid would be the 1st. Like it or not, getting independent votes is the only way to win.

I completely agree. Let's say it's Romney. Who would be the best fit at VP to bring the independents?

I really don't know who the right person would be. What I would look for is someone who fits this description:

    Somewhat liberal on social issues
    Good with international diplomacy
    Conservative on fiscal policy
Reasonable on environmental issues (not the 'screw the environment, let's just make money guy' or the 'enviro-freak who wants to protect everything at any cost guy')
Understands that religion doesn't belong in gov't policy decisions

Not sure why Rubio would not be favored by independents.

I like Santorum but I would like to see Chris Christie get a VP slot as a second choice.

The independent vote is critical to win.

IMO, the independents lean more conservative.
