Boynton Inlet Cobia 6/26/11

Headed offshore to find these amazing weedlines that had been reported. Didn't come accross any, so after only catching one decent dolphin I decided to head back toward shore.

I set up a drift in about 250 ft and freelined some sardines hoping for a blackfin. Once I hit 180 I droped a sardine on bottom and it got slammed instantly. Before I was even able to get it to the boat, one of the freelined baits I had out on light tackle got hit. I had my girlfriend reel it in (or try to) and once she finaly did, I had to explain to her that no it wasnt a tuna, and no its not eddible. At least I have grouper strips for the next trip!
