Decent deal?

Have a chance to buy a 300 F4 ED with case, etc. in excellent condition (seller says so of course) for $400.00. If focus works, no sign of fungus, etc. that seems like a decent deal. Has gel filter holder, case, etc. Is there anything in particular I should look for in terms of problem areas?

KEH won't pay that if I sell it to them but I can't buy one from them for that price either.

If it is all you say it is yes, a good deal.

Bolt it onto your camera to make sure everything is functional, etc.

Does it have a focus limiting lever? if so make sure that is functional.
