Windy afternoon on estero bay
Headed out to estero bay around new pass this afternoon. The weather caused me to rethink my plans quickly, and I headed to some shelter near Carl Jonson boat ramp. After draining the water out, I chose to stick near the ramp near shelter. As I worked the bushes within an easy hundred yards of the ramp, I ended up with a little trout and a nice little red. Even though it wasn't much, it was a great trip. That's what is great about kayak fishing, it makes you slow down and try areas that you would easily pass up in a boat. These spots have an easy hundred boats pass them daily and not even think about stopping.
