Mike - American Marine

If you've been here any length of time you know of, or perhaps have met, Dixon, best known as Eggsuckindog. And again, if you've been here any length of time, you know if you throw out a marine related inquiry and Dixon hasn't got a valid response for you he'll suggest you get in touch with Mike at American Marine. Well, after so many years of hearing about Mike's ability to part Tampa Bay, to feed 40 forum members with nothing but 3 chicken wings and a half a stalk of celery, to quench the thirst of hundreds on Beer Can Island with 3 Busch Lites, I had just about come to the conclusion (yes, the same one most of you had concerning ESD) that Dixon had a pseudo hero, one that he wished existed, but unfortunately did not exist. Well........I was wrong. Mike does exist, and while I don't know if he's affiliated with American Marine, I do know he's still in the business and, more importantly, he makes one hell of a first impression. Dixon and Susan took Melanie and me on our first "Gasparilla by water" cruise and by plan we ended up rafted next to Mike and crew. He and and his wife Joy were incredible host and hostess, had a buffet that most restaurants strive for and a bar unequaled in it's selection. Kicking back with their crew almost made me forget there was a parade going on behind me. Anyway, enough of my babble. I don't know if he's still with American Marine, but he's still in the marine industry. If I have issues with my boat I'm getting with Mike. If I have issues with my heart I'm going someplace other than Tampa General cause I think Joy would post pics. She's got that kind of wicked smile. Mike's in the front, on the right. Joy ducked every time she saw the camera. Thanks to Dixon and Susan for a wonderful day.

And thanks FS.....I've been trying to post a single pic for an hour now and this POS software still won't let it happen. I make a living writing business applications......if my code worked as well as yours does I would of been fired 19 years ago. A decent post with potential and you ruin it. Put a thumbs up on this one.

Clearly operator error... First time a programmer blamed the program and not the user. One thing I have found is you have to unclick the check mark if you are using a URL or it gives you some wacky error. That is if you are using photobucket or something. The upload from your computer worked for me one time but I THINK you might have to be logged in to see those pictures as well but that could be wrong. Stick with the URL and unclick that checkbox and it works like the old forum did.

Glad you had a good day. We had a lot of fun on my buddies boat. Not sure if it was enough fun to do again but it was a good time. Lots of hotties having a good time. Didn't see anything totally crazy but it was a good time.

After 3 attempts this morning I can finally see the pic in the preview......but I wouldn't be the least surprised if I got nothing more than a red x once I hit submit.

We looked for you Paul, weren't many 35' Yellowfins out there. **** sure plenty of LEO's though. Our crew was great, we had a blast. I mentioned more than once that it wasn't a whole lot different than fishing during a PTTS tournament.

We were there. Braved the crazy run down the channel with the Jose Gaspar. It actually wasn't bad. Sitting out in the bay with the boats cruising was very reminiscent of a PTTS tournament but noone ran into us unlike the "pros".

We did the run down the channel and ended up rafting on beach drive pretty close to the bridge that goes to TGH. Had a good time. Beautiful day. Not enough crazy chick happenings but not bad.

Glad you guys had a good time.

See, he is real Jerry and not my invisible friend

Mike still owns American Marine in Tarpon, wonder why he has his foot in that bucket?
