Fade chevron pattern

I saw a cool fade chevron pattern at Mudhole. It was silver to light green to dark green. Anyone know what a good pattern would be. For example:

5 silver
1 light green
3 silver
2 light green
2 silver
etc.....

Yep, you got it, that rod was made by John Stumpe I believe.

You also need to start incorporating the dark green toward the ending of the silver. Think of it this way>> its a light green wrap that fades out to silver on one side and dark green on the other.

Use size A on a thinner blank so you have room to do the transition. Plus itll look better.

I know what picture you are talking about and I want to do something similar. I have done 2 wraps and still figuring out the wrap process. So with this wrap is a simple chevron so the thread is only layed to the right up and down the rod right? What is the single silver thread in the picture above? Are you doing another axis wrap to help close it off? I thought if you were doing a multiple axis wrap you would do them all at the same time. Not true?
