I am planning to make my first trip to the Bahamas in the fall. I'm considering a place on Long Island that's in an out of the way mangrovey area. My question is this: If I go in September are the mosquitoes likely to be bad? What about noseeums?
I don't imagine Long Island has a spraying program that keeps the mosquitoes under control like in the Keys?

i plan on showing up for war after the **** chewing i took last year at sundown.
He said they were chewing, not necessarily getting anything...
they got plenty
maybe not as much as had you been there :rotflmao
Skin so soft works for the no see ems. They will still land on you but the skin so soft is a basic solution and neutralizes the acid that they excrete. Mosquito repellent doesn't work for no see ems. Long sleeves, long pants, a hat, etc. is also a good trick... :grin
