Nest building after work 01-09-2012

Shot during the "golden hour" of late afternoon winter sun. The first six are of one flight coming into the nest. You can tell but looking at the same stick in each frame. Seven and eight are the same male leaving the nest moments later for another forage for sticks. The last frame (the ninth frame) is the same beast on a return trip with another stick. The beasts were so busy nest building and copulating the ignored me standing under the tree. I got about 60 frames.

Not a lot of processing. Just ran them through my presets in Camera Raw, sharpened, cropped a little then posted. I will likely go back and fight the WB a little, they are still rather golden - that is just how late in the day it was. Also, a quick self-critique: I didn't quite get the wing tips stopped. Other thoughts? Fire away!

not bad for straight out of the camera....
but as you said, the images could use a little tweaking...
