The toes were hurting a bit when I stepped into the water this morning, but things got comfy quick, and I started spotting fish almost immediately. Visibility was perfect, light winds out of the north, and the only person who gave use any problems was this guy in a kayak with a trolling motor mounted to it (and I think he was lost). A **** fine day by any standard, and I ended up with 7-8 good sized trout, but nothing heavy. Most were taken on a white #2 soft hackle streamer.
Nice ODC! I had high hopes to get out today and ended up in the dentist's chair instead. Keeping my fingers crossed for the morning, though. Meeting the guys at 6:30 rod in hand. All I've caught lately is trout. Even the little ones fight.

I hate dentists. I've had issues lately with these fish. 3-5lb trout are super fun, but I'm targeting their grandparents (without any success), and they're pretty clever. Today we watched fish spook out at 60-70', and saw 3 fish that were 10-12lbs (and a giant fatty flounder). I have better pics that Rob took while we were out, but photobucket is doing some weird stuff and I can't load them up right now.
Great report and pics. What did those trout weigh?
I know it's a special place but, generally speaking, what body of water is that? Just curious because it's so clear...really pretty. If you'd rather not say, not problem.

I really don't know what they weighed, I get the fly out and send them on their way asap. It's the Banana river. It gets pretty clear in the cooler months.

I really wish I didn't have to do that, but that area is kinda special to me.
I wasn't going to mention that part Rob. :grin
