What a difference a day makes,,,

Forecast was about the same as yesterday, YET, no mullet at Goodbys creek, (I should have loaded up Tuesday when they were there) much windier, constant rain, and the biggest problem water temp dropped from 82 to 76 degrees. Didn't see any activity on the river and I quit by 11:30am. Next few days do not look good with wind shifting to the north. May try Ortega River on Friday.

NE wind is usually not friendly for the river. We're frying redfish and flounder from St Augustine area right now.....

North and Northeast winds makes it hard to hide from the wind anywhere since most waterways run North and South. I'll head to Mandarin ramp and fish the point staying out of the wind. Cold tonight and Saturday night/morning too.

Cyanobacteria is what is thought. We've seen them here at the house in Fruit Cove and there are investigations down towards Lake George by FWC biologists.

Yep.......one day we need to find time to put actual eyes on one another out on the river.

I do have to ask.......we love fish....both for the catching and the consuming.........

I've noted you're many posts of catching........how about the consuming?

I just messaged you too.

We've got two freezers full of redfish, trout and flounder. And occasionally we give away whole fish to Sonia's friends and a guy who buys our eggs. They always want the whole fish and eat the whole fish, fish head soup and such. We have/had 22 chickens. Just sold 15 and gained 15 chicks from Craigslist for free. So starting over with a new flock. 

I have not fished the Fruit Cove area in a while. Should get over there to chase tarpon.
