Three days on the river swinging streamer and fry flies with a dual purposed Sage 7wt Igniter 9' and 300 grain OPST integrated line with 8' T14 sink tippet...Abel 3N...it was barely/bearly spring Tuesday sun, low 30 high 40 one fish in boat 4 hooked then unhooked; Wednesday snow sun low 20 high 35 two fish in boat 6 hooked unhooked; Thursday one in boat 9 hooked unhooked, overcast 30 low high 50 late rain...Guide holding...All released...All fish were in the air like Tarpon and  rolling to unhook...

Very nice fish.  I spent many, many hours drifting the Clearwater River in Idaho for Steelhead and can relate to the cold and mizzerble.  Hours of sheer boredom, with sudden bursts of wild excitement.  It grows on you.

Congrats!  Well done.
I've only caught summer smolt on fly, never an adult. Caught several on lures, but not my fly rod.
