Whiting bottom rigs

Can someone post a picture of what your whiting bottom rig looks like.  I will be fishing from a boat and not the surf.  Size sinker, length and size of leader, type and size hook, etc.

If I was fishing from a boat, I would just use a 2oz egg sinker rigged above about a foot of 20lb mono leader. Whiting have a pretty small mouth, so I'd tie a 2/0 j-hook to the end. You may have to go heavier on the egg sinker, depending on the current that you're fishing.

Look up Carolina rig for a picture of this kind of set up.

Hope this helps, and good luck!

What Sea-Squatch said about the hook style. Either that or a Kahle style as my experience with a couple of styles of circle hooks on whiting is that they are not effective. Though, there are a lot of styles of "circle hook" out there so may be one that does work better.
