Offshore Bite?

We have family coming to town next week from Wisconsin and I plan to take them offshore and wondering if it's worth the time/gas?  Haven't seen any reports. Planning on going about 20 miles to some reefs I know. If anyone can chime in and give me a recent report that would really help our decision. Other option would be backcountry sheepshead and whatever bites in the mangroves.
