Pi Day @ Shell Mound

Still no bait fish activity.  Did have crab activity on the hunks of frozen squid I was using for bait.  Did catch 2 BIG catfish (seriously thought about using bridge net on one).

Also got to see a Bald Eagle hanging out and do a couple of fly-bys, in all a beautiful day out on the water.

Two more weeks maybe?  Give me time to get my turkey season in and done before I worry about fishing...

That's interesting, as I saw a ton of bait in Steinhatchee last week. Water was getting warmer around 70 but I think theses last few cold nights will put us back in the mid 60's. BTW where are you getting the squid from?

Picked it up at Hersche's on 98/SR22  (which means I took the "long" way from Chiefland to Shell Mound)
