My friend died today. The best Marlin fisherman that has ever fished this planet. I've had the opportunity to fish a ton with him on the Duyfken. Alzheimer's claims another. Fort Lauderdale native. His aim from the tower with an empty beer can was incredible.

Hate to hear that Mark. It's tough burying a good friend and Alzheimer's is a horrible way to go.

May he rest in peace. Alzheimer's is terrible in 2 ways, first of all for the person afflicted with and then for the folks watching it take its toll.

I was fortunate enough to have fished with him a couple of times as he was a guest on the boat I worked on (owner & he were friends). Just an awesome person all the way around, more knowledge on marlin fishing than anyone I have ever met, and yes deadly with an empty beer can. The sportfishing world, well the whole world really, has lost one of the best ever. RIP Peter B.

I was at ICAST one year and saw Peter and Ray Roshier talking.  Ray is a friend and waited to say hello. If you don't know Ray, he is one of the top sailfish captains in Miami They were telling sea stories and it was very interesting.
