Friday west of honey moon - ARS

Ran 55 miles west. Pulled up to the spot and it was loaded with ARS. Got our limit quick and decided to run in for gags. That didnt work out - 2 spots in 50ft , 40ft had nothing but little red and gag grouper - weird as these spots usually produce. Still a great day

That is strange on the shallow gag spots.
I was planning on going on the next weather window. 
Was hoping not to have to run way up north!

We had the same issue last friday in 45-55' where weeks before we were doing great on gags we only got one small gag and some really small reds we bounced around and the same results all over

Lately the Gags have only been eating around the change of tide when the current lets up. If you know there are Gags down there sometimes you have to just wait it out. Also I've noticed sometimes the Gags are there but the sharks also are there and the Gags get really shy. Then you'll hook the shark and everyone will suddenly hook up on Gags.
