I posted a brief 10K report - over on the south Florida board - it's from Friday as well...

This past week it's been the same from the gulf coast (Cape Sable northwards - we didn't fish much above Ponce de Leon Bay.  Tossing flies at fish feeding on bait can be frustrating as well (understatement...).

Yesterday out of Chokoloskee things were different since we were using lures with spinning gear.... The bait conditions were the same as over at Flamingo - lots of bait -- all day long.  We caught and released 40 or so speckled trout - here's a pic of our biggest at a solid 22"...

We also caught and released four or five snook  -but the redfish eluded us... Here's a pic of our biggest snook - it got invited for dinner...

right at 30" along the coast, a long run south from Chokoloskee....

By Sunday we're finally getting some cooler water temps as weather is forecast down to the low sixties... By the middle of next week things should be good as the water clears after a west wind...
