My son is contemplating rebuilding his 2007 Zx 190 he just realized it has a crack in the hull. Is it worth having hull repaired and putting new motor on it ? Anyone know what that cost would be or a good place to have it done ?
Any fiberglass hull can be repaired - to better than new condition - but it will cost you and you won't be able to sell it for what you have in it. This is great for a hull you aren't planning on selling - but not so good if you plan on moving up to a bigger (or nicer) hull.
The tough part is finding a glass shop or individual - that does really first rate work. For that look around a bit, talk to as many different boat owners as possible before choosing the shop you need...
