modding canoe for seating...

ivnivn gvillePosts: 207 Deckhand
I've got a cheapish wally world canoe that I'd like to mod to play with the seating.  Plan is to remove existing seats and install cross bars since it appears they are structural.  Then install some sort of support and install two seats that are a bit lower and can swivel a little bit.

Any advice on support for seats and/or seats themselves are appreciated.

What do you have in mind.. photos of the canoe you have might be helpful.
Swivel seats in a canoe would require you to raise your legs above the gunwale line, or contort your body, perhaps unbalancing the canoe.
