It's amazing how low a concentration of certain drugs will show up in a test.

One of the ways FDEP/FDACS can determine the source of fecal coliform ( human or otherwise ) is to test the water where the elevated coliform levels are for a variety of drugs.......caffeine and acetaminophen......among others.

And of course coliform is what causes Class II shellfish waters to be closed.................
