Jackson Kayak Mayfly…

I have a Jackson Mayfly it’s my first kayak and I’ve had it for 4 years. It’s kind of big and heavy but it is stable. I’ve fished from it several times and I really enjoy fishing from a kayak on rivers or small lakes.

Any of y’all fish from kayaks?

Nice, looks like a good fishing kayak. I started on a small kayak just to get out in the water, i think it was only 8 ft. long. Then i went to a hobie sport which is 10 ft and had pedals. Made a huge difference to my fishing. I sold that and had a small Boston whaler for a while, but i prefer fishing from kayak so i now have a hobie outback, its 12ft and I've added an outboard motor to it with a single outrigger. Really enjoying it so far, but haven't been able to get out in a while since its been so rough and I've been busy. I switch up where i fish a lot but probably enjoy going offshore the most. I tend to chase whatever is biting. Welcome to forum Bama creek bum!

Most of us here fish from kayaks, some like myself have Kayak, SUP, & Canoe.
I mainly fish Inshore, shallow very clear water sight fishing.

Hi Bama, Welcome to the forum.  I fish primarily pedal power kayaks launching off beaches to fish the ocean up to 500ft deep.  The drop-off is quick in SE Florida, so that is often less than 3 miles offshore.
