2 black fin tuna and 2 bonito trolling this morning out of PE
190' off of the cranes doubleheader for the tuna.

On Wednesday one of my anglers caught and released both a 28" snook and an 80lb tarpon out of Flamingo... our first big tarpon this year in the backcountry, it was in a river not quite 100 feet wide... Still waiting on the tarpon video but here's a pic of the snook...
Back on the water tonight for a Biscayne Bay night trip (again it's tarpon and snook when the tide is right).
My brother is out again today, trolling. Got 3 Blackfins and lost another in 600'. Listening to VHF channel charter boats use. Heard one had a small king, another had a bite from a tuna, whatever that means. Pretty slow it seems. Ended with only the 19" mutton yesterday on the reef.
It was slow (very slow) last night in the Bay as well... Although there were a few shrimp showing in docklights - we never saw a single small tarpon under the bridges or in the lights... Our best fish was only a small snook - about 22" long... If this keeps up I won't be running any night trips again until the summer for Biscayne Bay... Still finding fair numbers of snook up in Jupiter at night, though... Oh well - tomorrow's another day and I'll be down at Flamingo where the big tarpon are in solid now....
