Went looking for sails outta PE. NOAA called for 10-15 with gust to 25 and 3-5 ft seas. Boy was she wrong. Got out at first light to 2 ft slow rollers and maybe 5 mph wind. Ran north to the steeple and just barely got a light wind kite up. Fished from 125 out to 275, we were getting pushed out with the NW breeze and zero current. Got the first hit on a bottom rod in 225, fought it all the way up and came unglued 50ft below the boat. Wind was really dying out so started backing back inshore and skipping the kite baits and hooked up on the long bait in 175ft. Fought to get it outta the clip and then came unglued after 5 mins. Keep backing in to 115 and reset the kite but would not stay up. Put out a flat spread and hooked a sail in 130ft. She put on a nice show and tip released after 10 mins on the spinner. Continued the drift for another hr and moved north for another drift. Ended up doing 3 more drift on a flat spread with nothing but a couple bottom bites. Headed in at 1pm
