N.W. Trout...

1eyefishing1eyefishing Posts: 8 Deckhand
Deer season is over for me. A few pics to get me fired up for a new Spring season.
We have a great trout fishery here in the Northwest Fla area.
Mostly guests but all on my boat...

... other eye hunting.

New here, do the pictures always come up as thumbnails like that or can I get them full size?

I'm not sure. Beautiful trout though. Thanks for posting.

Have never seen photos appear that way. They come up when clicked, and go away as usual, so no big deal ... but strange. Were they downloaded from a phone or a desktop?

Fine looking Trout ... what technique?

No lures, hooks, or bait, show in the images.

They are really nice trout, you boat must have some good vibes on it. :)

     Thanks all.
Most of my bigger trout have been taken on shrimp or cut pinfish on a jig head, gold spoon, or spinnerbait.
    Mirrodines account for a few...
My boat has had the fish catching Juju from the beginning...  I took it to the IRL 10 days after picking picking it up. I pulled over to fish some skipping pompano and had one jump in the boat bounce off the center console and land in the floor.  :D

A couple of those trout were taken on my previous G3 total hull..

Some boats are like that. Just fish magnets. Don't know why but it may have something to do with who's fishing.  :)

I have lived and fished here all my life, some 60 plus years. When I was a kid we caught tons of little trout and kept almost every one. For most of my adult life we caught decent trout but a 5 pounder was a very unusual catch. In the last few years, I have caught my new personal best trout 4 times, the latest being a touch over 30 inches. I've been on shallow flats and deep creeks and have observed schools of big Gator trout and I see that all the time now.

So we are currently blessed with a great trout fishery. We have proper fisheries management, FCA/CCA, FWC enforcement, and conservation minded fisherman to thank for that.

Hi Ferris, I'm still alive and well here in almost Georgia. My wife keeps moving me further and further from Lanark but I responded with a new truck to get me there and back in style. I still love to fish and go as often as work and life will allow. This Fall was exceptionally good for me. It was a Trout and Redfish bonanza that will be hard to match.

I guess a new truck is cheaper than alimony. Good decision.. :)

I figgered you were slaying them somewhere.

I hope yall have a great New Year.
