Question about Simrad GO 9

I got a Simrad GO 9 for Christmas , thanks Wife ! , and had it installed and went out yesterday and the depth/side-scan did not read. I looked and the only thing they mounted on the back of the boat was a small plastic piece about 3" by 2" , no transducer like Im used to seeing on boats. Could it be that it did not come with one and its something separate I need to buy ? If so where and any idea of price ? Thanks for any info !

Should be the same as the Lowrance Totalscan transducer, They extend out about 9" from the Transom. Mine came with the unit, but they are about $325 if bought separately.

I have sidescan on both of my boats, and wouldn't be without it for my type if fishing.

If your wife has a birthday anytime soon, get her the new transducer. That will get you more time out of the house to fish. LOL
