Any specific kind of eagle? I hear golden eagles are pretty cool.

That's not entirely true... they are also great for getting certain types of access to public land closed down if they're caught nesting.

I've always used eagles as a barometer. If the eagles were hunting or fishing, it always seemed like it was going to be a great day to be hunting or on the water. The fish bit and the deer were on their feet.

Eagles really made a great comeback. We have them nesting pretty close to us every year and see them daily around the neighborhood. Two years ago they tried building a nest on our street but when the sanitation trucks rolled through, they abandoned that site. They even can be heard during the night on their roost fussing at one another. They look a lot classier than they act.

Not wealthy Florida developers.
  I called the FWC on a developer who wiped out eight occupied Gopher tortoise borrows.  Buried them alive.  He said he would pay the fines, it was cheaper than relocating them.

Maybe the FWC needs to reduce the cost  of the permits and make it less expensive in general to relocate them.  Ave cost 2 to 8 THOUSAND each.
