Wow. Got there just after 10, not quite two hours into the incoming tide and I've never seen it so low. Like 50 feet of mud in front of the boat ramp, and then only a few inches of water , surrounded by more mud and dry-ish land.
Bait was thin but the bait that was there were big mud minnows and larger silversides/anchovies. Had a few frozen cigar-sized mullet from last trip, and we caught a bunch of larger hard head catfish (2-3lbs) and one eel.
Did see an eagle soaring around and roost for a bit in the pines on the island across from pier. Unfortunately, I can't see my cell screen well enough to take pics of any kind in full sun
In short, beautiful day to be out and fishing, got my rod bent, and saw some cool stuff.
