Wife surprised me with a new 112lb thrust 36 volt I pilot trolling motor and was just gonna get a 36 volt battery and was curious if anyone was using a 36 volt battery and which charger they recommend
I have a 36 volt lithium battery that came from Abyss battery in Largo. It came with a charger. I have had zero issues with the system. It was installed by Left Coast Boat Works in Largo. The lithium battery recharges in about 2 hours and only weighs 44 lbs. I have had it since May and have yet to run the battery down and I fish pretty hard. The system is on a 320B Sea Vee
Does anyone run three 12volt non lithium batteries on a 36 volt trolling motor with spot lock if so how long are u getting out of them in a days use for grouper/snapper fishing
That is what I run and I have never had any issue running out of power. Even over multiple days. Hard for me to swallow $2000+ for a 36 volt lithium vs $300 for 3 12 volts. This is on a 30' contender I have the 7' Rhodan.

Ya I hear ya I was gonna bite the bullet and get the 36 volt but I have two good batteries from my old 24 volt motor so I am gonna get another 12 volt and a 3 bank charger and go with that for now it's just a 21' sea pro bay boat, thanks for the input. I imagine your using group 31 batteries aren't u?
