Caught bait in 40 feet west of Caladesi. Started marking fish while catching bait. Stayed inside 55 feet. Hit one ledge and 2 rock piles. Had 8 keepers and was done before 10am.  

I love fall gag fishing!

NIce work.  Looked like a beautiful day.  Got a wifey weekend this weekend so not getting out.  Hopefully the next two weekends will be nice.

We ran a charter for the Boat Setter guys today and the bite was on fire all day. Only needed 6 to limit and that was done pretty quick. They wanted to keep catching Gags so we kept at it and even put them onto some catch and release on jigs with spinning gear. We must've caught 30-40 keepers with most of our bigger ones over 30" getting tossed back to fight another day. Glad you got on em man! Was an epic bite today!

Very nice - we went out on the same day, 45-50 feet due west of Gulf Harbors.  If the viz had been better we would have limited quickly on gags. They were everywhere, but we only got 3 because we were spearfishing and had a tough time nailing them in the limited viz. Should have brought some hook and line gear.  Water temps were 70 on the bottom, and only going to get colder, so I am thinking 50 feet and under will be the new target depth for everyone.
