Tailing fish ID

Been seeing a large tailing fish in my lake in south fl/Miami. Anyone know what it could be. It’s about 3ft/4ft long with large dorsal fin. Mostly just peacocks and largemouths in there but I’ve now seen this large fish tailing twice. It’s an enclosed lake so it would have to be something that’s been introduced to the water.

Those grass carp do that a lot. Look like a big black drum waving that tail.

pretty sure its a grass carp based on the dorsal fin i saw. I'll have to post a picture when im able to catch one, but have family in town atm. I think ill put some corn in the water and keep watch, probably use bread as bait once they come around.

When I was a kid in VA we became grass carp specialist fishing a lil’ park pond near our neighborhood. It took months of trial and error, but we finally figured them out. They feed a lot like a giant black drum. We eventually figured out to chum up a spot with corn in a can. I’d puncture a small hole in the top and let it sink in certain coves a day before fishing. For bait we’ d make bread balls out of bread, molasses syrup and Quaker oatmeal on a small gold hook with a small split shot. Usually sight fishing.
